Care sector involvement in ICSs | 23 September 2021
21 July 2021
Earlier this year, in partnership with Care England, we published the report The relationship between the adult social care sector and ICSs: Time for action.
This research, drawing on interviews and a roundtable convened with ICS independent chairs, policy-makers and adult social care providers, highlighted mixed engagement of the adult social care across the country. The report made several key recommendations particularly focusing on the need to recognise the vital role that adult social care organisations play in society and, as such, the need to involve them more appropriately in ICS planning.
Now, six months later, we are working with Care England and the UK Home Care Association to update this report, exploring the progress that has been made in the interim, reflecting recent guidance and highlighting key challenges and best practice from ICSs around the country.
Attendees at the session will hear from a variety of experts, and will also have the opportunity to debate key issues relating to care sector involvement at system and at place levels. The content of these discussions will then be used to inform the updated report.
Attendance to this event is by invitation only. If you are interested in attending, please email events@good-governance.org.uk
