Cultural Governance Alliance event | 19 November 2021

29 October 2021

Since the COVID-19 pandemic arrived in the UK in early 2020 the already busy health and social care sectors saw capacity stretched to new levels. The NHS, third sector and private organisations worked tirelessly to look after patients in unprecedented circumstances.
Throughout this staff have worked tirelessly to deliver the best possible care. Burnout is described as "a form of exhaustion caused by constantly feeling swamped. It's a result of excessive and prolonged emotional, physical, and mental stress. In many cases, burnout is related to one's job".

This session explores burnout and how best to manage it in health and social care from the perspective of an NHS organisation and a third sector care provider.
