As part of its mission to promote good governance, GGI will host these facilitated, weekly virtual meetings to give NHS non-executive directors an opportunity to share their concerns, challenges and ideas as we rethink the future of health and social care. The goal is to collectively think about the role NEDs play as part of the controlling mind of their organisations, to discuss immediate safeguarding issues and to ensure we all learn from this experience to assure better outcomes for citizens in the future. 'Compassionate leadership at the individual, organisational and system level'

Drawing upon her experience of having held both Executive and Non-Executive Board positions in the NHS Gill has in recent times added coaching in compassionate leadership to her portfolio. She will draw upon this in addressing the need and opportunity for local health communities to build compassion into the DNA of the soon to be formed Integrated Care Systems.

About Gill

Gill Galliano is Interim Chair at NHS Brighton and Hove CCG. Her previous role was Lay Vice Chair, NHS Brighton and Hove CCG, and prior to this she was Acting Lay Chair, NHS Coastal West Sussex CCG a role she fulfilled for 21 months.

Gill worked in the NHS from 1982 until 2012; her last 18 years were in very senior NHS Board positions including Chief Executive, Finance Director and Commissioning / Operations Director.

She is a founding Governing Body member of a community interest company and runs her own consultancy and coaching business.

This meeting is by invitation and is open to all NHS Non-Executives Directors, Chairs and Associate Non-Executive Directors of NHS Providers. Others may attend by special invitation.
