Governance during the COVID-19 Pandemic: Your Challenges, Views and Ideas | 28 October 2021 | MS Teams Meeting

25 October 2021

The Mental Health Network are working in partnership with the Good Governance Institute to provide both practical advice and to support you and your board during this time. As well as providing space and channels for you to share your concerns, challenges and ideas during this time so that we can consolidate this and amplify your collective voice.

ABOUT

Mark Butler, Partner and Executive Director at Good Governance Institute, will be speaking on how far a chair should be prepared to go against national guidance and in what circumstances (for example to do the right thing in terms of public and staff protection around COVID)? The role of an anchor organisation chair when they and colleagues/stakeholders believe that national advice and guidance is ill-advised, damaging or wrong? How would/do they act? Or have they acted in the past when this has been the case?

This will be held on Thursday, 28 October, 9:00 – 10:00am via MS Teams Meetings as we are keen to move quickly in listening and supporting you and understanding the specific challenges you and your organisation may face whilst delivering mental health services for the NHS. This is the start of the conversation, and we plan to share the outcomes of this call and use it to inform our offer and support to you in the coming weeks and months.
