GGI is delighted to welcome two new interns to the team, both of whom joined us this month.
Nahida Abdulhamid joins as a research and policy intern. She has worked with various NGOs, including UNICEF, Minority Rights International Group, Education Partnership Africa and Numbi Arts.
Nahida’s experience includes research and delivering, coordinating, advising and campaigning for critical programmes such as the quality of education, refugee rights, overseas investment, economic, political and social issues.
Nahida completed an MSc in Development Studies at The School of African and Oriental Studies in London. Her primary research focused on challenging ‘the good-governance framework’ in the context of conflict and peace-building, looking at ways the framework can be redefined and introduced as a developmental means to include non-state actors. She also holds a BA in Politics from Goldsmiths, University of London.
Lucie Middleton joins as a communications intern, having just completed a BA in History and Journalism at Goldsmiths, University of London.
As the daughter of a nurse, Lucie grew up enveloped in political discussion and developed a keen interest in politics and current affairs. At university she studied the modern Middle East and Latin American revolutions and worked as a researcher and blogger at St Paul’s Cathedral.
