The fact that I am able to invite you to meet in person at our 2021 Festival of Governance brings a tear to my eye. The festival begins today! After an all-virtual Festival of Governance in 2020, this year we’re once again able to enjoy the alchemy that takes place when a diverse group of people come together and simply start talking to each other.

On 1 April this year, Julie Bolus, a dear friend to GGI and a valued colleague, sadly passed away. Julie was much admired and respected in the NHS throughout her career as a nurse, executive director and non-executive director, and we are pleased to honour her legacy with the GGI Rising Star nursing award.
